Half Shaft Safety Loops 1963-82

These half shaft safety loops meet and or exceed NHRA and IHRA rules. They are properly positioned to minimize damage to your Corvette no matter which end of the half shaft comes loose. Half shafts larger than 3 1/2" diameter will most likely have clearance issues.
The stock trailing arm style bolts on. The safety loops for aftermarket offset trailing arms (a picture of 2 offset arms) require you to drill two holes. it's a straight forward installation.
A 12 pound half shaft swinging 1000 rpm will do unbelievable damage in the 5 seconds it takes to stop it. I have had more than one customer call to see if he can replace one side. They are real happy to be buying a safety loop instead of a rear quarter panel or worse.
Once the half shaft lets go on a stock irs the Corvette can longer support the body. Consider a Dragvette 6-Link it has two built in safety loops in its design and the chassis will still support the body so you can pull over and stop safely. Priced as a pair. Enter 1 in the quantity to receive a pair of safety loops to outfit one Corvette.
