Dragvette is always looking looking for the best bang for the buck. Here is a Van Steel coil over conversion for the front of your 1963-79 Corvette. Priced at 849.99 a pair! This features QA-1 shocks. What is the advantage? Number one, you can adjust the height of your front. Lower the front for a meaner cool stance and better handling or adjust it higher for tire clearance you may need or improved weight transfer for drag racing. the good news you can change it anytime you wish. Number two adjustable shocks, that's right get the single adjustable with 24 adjustment positions. You can adjust them to a 90/10 for weight transfer for drag racing or adjust them to 60/40 for I nice cruise, with 24 settings your bound to get the perfect ride for any activity you are involved with.
If your serious about handling and want full adjust-ability get the duel control and adjust both the rebound and compression individually. You may want to add our upper tubular a-arm offering from Van Steel. Check it out on this site for all its features.
Which one should I choose? Your selection should be based mainly on the over all weight of your Corvette. The mid year or 63-67 Corvettes are lighter so the small block Corvettes should opt for the 400 lb spring. Do you have a big block? Then the 450 lb spring is a better choice. If you have a 68 to 79 the Corvette got heavier every year so the 450 lb for the small block cars and those of us that prefer a firm ride the 550 lb spring. For cruising and drag racing the single adjustable is great. If you choose a spring rate that you are disappointed in son't fret call us and we will swap it out for you, that way you will get exactly what you are striving to accomplice with your Corvette. If you race SCCA or road racing the double adjustable would be a better fit for you. This is a great improvement for little money especially when comparing to other options a front end kit can run 3000.00. You ask why the large diameter spring? If you use a smaller diameter spring it has to be longer to prevent coil bind. The longer spring requires the lower arm to be modified and that increases cost. This is a huge improvement for the money that's why it's on this site.
